Lesley runs for helicopter
Lesley Graves, a civil servant from White Waltham, will be running in the Flora Light Challenge for Women, which takes place in Hyde Park on Sunday 5th September, to raise money for the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance.

Lesley, who is a bell-ringer at White Waltham church and has been in training for the past 9 weeks, said “I see the helicopter regularly flying over my house in White Waltham, getting to patients within minutes and airlifting them to hospital within the “golden hour”. Many people’s lives are saved due to the speed of the air ambulance. We must ensure it keeps flying 7 days a week”.

Stevie Horton, Director of Fundraising said “This is a great challenge for Lesley and we all wish her luck in raising funds for the 999 helicopter. If anyone would like to sponsor Lesley please call or e-mail us”.
